CNN —Scientists may have pinpointed a massive, oddly shaped volcano taller than Mount Everest on the surface of Mars — and it has been hiding in plain sight for decades, according to new research. În conformitate cu regulile Uniunii Astronomice Internaționale (IAU), craterele și formele de relief de pe Pluto trebuie să primească denumiri inspirate din mitologia subpământeană (Pluto sau Hades — zeul lumii subterane, de dincolo). NASA nu este însă constrânsă de astfel de reguli în ceea ce privește alegerea unor nume pentru cratere sau vârfuri și lanțuri muntoase de pe Charon.
